北京航空航天大学刘明杰教授学术报告

简介:
        刘明杰,青年千人计划,教授,博士生导师。2005年在北京化工大学获学士学位。2010年7月在中科院国家纳米科学中心获得博士学位,导师为江雷研究员。2010年-2015年在日本理化学研究所(RIKEN)担任特别研究员,合作导师为Takuzo Aida教授。2015年3月回北京航空航天大学任教授。曾获得2010年中国科学院院长优秀奖,同年获全国胶体与界面化学奖,2014年获日本理化学研究所研究创新奖,2016年获纳米化学新锐奖。至今在国际著名学术期刊如Nature、Nature Materials、Nature Communications、 Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Adv. Mater.等上发表论文30余篇,获邀为国际著名学术刊物Acc. Chem. Res.撰写综述1篇,总引用1600余次。申请专利3项,已授权3项。 这些成果被Nature、Physics Today等期刊以New & View专栏评述报道,同时得到ScienceDaily,AAAS,Nanowerk,PHYS ORG,Yahoo News等专业机构及几十家网络媒体追踪报道。

  Water is essential for life on earth and considered a symbol of purity. 71% of the surface of our planet is covered by water, and our own body is composed of 65% of this simple but vital molecule. Considering increasing environmental issues, the idea of replacing plastics with water-based materials, so-called hydrogels, seems quite reasonable. Inspired by the self-cleaning fish scales and articular cartilage, we fabricated a series of functional hydrogels through the design of 2D surfaces and 3D networks. For example, we developed underwater superoleophobic hydrogels and extended this concept to design antibiofouling coatings. Furthermore, we developed a highly anisotropic hydrogel having a large compression resistivity and, in its orthogonal direction, an ultralow internal friction, so that this material, just like articular cartilage, efficiently insulates horizontal vibrations even under a heavy weight. We anticipate that these bio-inspired design strategies will open up new possibilities for developing soft materials with unusual functions.
